Orcs are a toned down version of Orks (or Orks a spiked up version of Orcs). The main difference is that Orcs aren’t as physically powerful as Orks. In fantasy people are stuck with gunpowder rifles and steel sword while in 40k people are using bolters and adamantium power swords/chainswords.
