Why did Mike and Ike split?
Due to creative differences in the candy, Mike had left to pursue a music career, while Ike had pursued a career in art. To take the “break-up” even further, the company released special packaging with either Mike or Ike’s name scratched out.
Who is Mike and Ike in real life?
Mike and Ike was created by Sam Born, a Russian immigrant and candy connoisseur who started with a small candy shop named Just Born in 1932. The Just Born company began to grow rapidly after its acquisition of the Maillard Corporation in 1935. This lead to the creation of its flagship brand, Mike and Ike.
Are Peeps just marshmallows?
In their traditional form, Peeps are shaped like baby chickens and made of a soft marshmallow rolled in colored sugar, with eyes made of edible wax. They are typically sold in packs of five conjoined marshmallows.
