What is a RYA license?
The RYA Yachtmaster qualification is a maritime certificate of competence, a driving license so to speak. Once qualified as an RYA Yachtmaster, it allows the holder to take charge (skipper) a vessel up to 24 meters in length on a coastal, offshore or ocean passage.

How do I get a speedboat licence UK?
To obtain the CEVNI license you need to sit a test. This can be taken at most RYA recognised training centres for a small fee. Once qualified your ICC will need to be to endorsed indicating so. Some people undergoing training for an ICC will sometimes apply to sit the CEVNI at the same time.
What Comes After Powerboat Level 2?
The next practical course above Level 2 is the Intermediate Powerboat Course. This is a really great course that gives you the theory and practical skills to be able to make slightly longer passages than you would have undertaken on the Level 2 course and is known as the ‘Powerboat Day Cruising’ course for good reason.

You do need a licence before you’re allowed to boat on any inland waterways in the UK, such as the Thames or the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads. However, there is no need to pass a competency exam before you’re allowed to boat, as one does while learning to drive a car.
How can I get ICC?
In most countries, you can get an ICC by getting the right national boating licenses. After that, you can simply apply for an ICC with the right authorities. OR you automatically get the ICC, if it’s integrated with the national license. For example, in The Netherlands, you simply obtain Boat License I + II.
