Notes[edit] All NPCs within Fort Dawnguard must be eliminated in order to complete this mission. There are eight in total: Agmaer, Beleval, Celann, Durak, Florentius Baenius, Gunmar, Isran, and Sorine Jurard. It is not required that you kill the Dawnguard members patrolling outside the Fort.

As I remember it, Isran will refuse to talk to you (as will some of the other NPC’s I think) if you become a vampire, until you get cured. There might be some quests you can still do in this state, but the final mission can’t be started, as far as I know, until you get cured (for the dawnguard side).

Overall, the physical rewards (weapons, etc) are better if you choose Dawnguard. However, you cannot regularly use the powerful Vampire Lord form until after you’ve completed the main questline, or else the Dawnguard members will not accept you.

He’ll then, starting at 10am, thoroughly patrol the inside of the fort, both upstairs and downstairs, for eight hours straight. Then at 6pm, he’ll once again head upstairs and stand around for four hours. He finally heads to his bed upstairs at 10pm and goes to sleep.

Harkon offers this power during “Bloodline”, Serana offering it twice, once during “Chasing Echoes” and once upon completing “Kindred Judgment. By “this ability” or “this power”, becoming a vampire lord is meant.
