This book is well known for being a sweet story about a boy and his horse, Flicka. I, however, did not find that the most interesting relationship in the book. Instead,I found myself most interested in the chapters about the boy’s father and mother. It is so hard to write a believable marriage and I think Mary O’Hara did that in this book.
