Nestled in the trees, Lost lake offers some of Whistler’s best fishing for Rainbow Trout ranging in size from 12″ – 18″. The lake itself holds some spectacular views of both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. Lost lake has a great trail network that leads you to many great fishing locations.
Can you fish at Lost Lake?
Lost Lake is open year-round for fishing. Some cutthroat trout broodstock weighing about one pound each are stocked in March. The lake is stocked in April and May with catchable-size (10″-12″) and again in the fall with good numbers of larger jumbo rainbow trout to provide a fishery through the winter.
Where can I fish in Lost Lake?
Bank access is excellent, with a good trail ringing the entire lake. You’ll see the most bank fishing near the large camping and day-use areas on both sides of the lodge nearby boat ramp. Most bank anglers still-fish with baits including natural and prepared baits, from nightcrawlers to PowerBait.
Where can I fish in Whistler?
The closest fishing to Whistler is on our local lakes, including Alta, Green and Nita lakes. These offer nearly year-round fishing for trout, Alta is especially good in the late Spring and Summer months after the ice comes off. There is also some other lakes north of Whistler that offer good fishing for trout.
Is Lost Lake Catch and Release?
We are the only fishing lodge on Lost Lake and while we promote conservation on all of the lakes we fish, we are primarily catch and release. Our 14′ boats on Lost Lake come complete with 9.9 HP outboards.

Green Lake in Whistler holds the largest of fish in Whistler, BC. The largest species of fish in Green lake is the Bull Trout. Bull Trout in Green lake can reach a staggering 15 LBS and have an average weight of 4 LBS. Green lake is also home to Rainbow Trout, Cutthroat Trout and Kokanee.
Is Lost Lake stocked with trout?
Lost lake is a great camping/fishing lake with boat rentals and easy bank access around the entire lake. Lost lake isn’t that big – only 15 acres or so. Lost Lake is stocked with rainbow trout throughout the year (see our stocking schedule below) and are available from March to September.

Green lake holds the largest fish of any lakes in Whistler making it a popular fishing spot for Anglers and Guides. There are 3 major creeks that feed the lake at the South end. 19 mile creek, Fitzsimmons creek and the river of Golden Dreams.

Where is Lost Lake located?
Lost Lake is a lake in Mount Hood National Forest 16.2 kilometres (10.1 mi) northwest of Mount Hood in Hood River County in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is 34.4 kilometres (21.4 mi) southwest of Hood River, a 26.4-mile (42.5 km) drive.
