Does U of I have family housing?
Housing & Residential Life is proud to offer two student housing properties for students who have children. Both properties are owned by the University but are independently managed as cooperatives. The contracted cooperatives are independent of the University.
Where do college students live?
Students generally have four housing options while in school — at home with mom and dad, a dorm room, an off-campus apartment or house or a fraternity or sorority house.
Can your spouse live with you on campus?
Undergraduate and graduate married, single-parent, and domestic partner applicants may live at University Apartments with spouses, partners and children only. Extended family members are not allowed. All family members and partners noted on the housing application must continuously reside in the unit.
Can you live on campus while pregnant?
Although schools may require that you find alternative housing once your baby is born (some campuses even have housing for parenting students!), they cannot kick you out of your dorm room because of your pregnancy.
Does Uvu have on campus housing?
Unlike most campuses, Utah Valley University doesn’t have any on-campus housing options for students, i.e. there are no dorms on campus.
How do you live while in college?
If not, let’s explore some ways to make living off campus more affordable:
- Finding the right apartment. Consider staying in a private home instead of a big apartment complex.
- Live with people. More roommates equals less expensive rent.
- Get a job.
- Be frugal.
- Use your loans (if you must).
Should I live at home during college?
Living at home during college also means that you will have a quiet place to study, if you take the necessary steps such as turning off your phone and TV. Living at home means that there will be fewer temptations to go out and party every night, and can help you be more serious and focused on your studies.
